Very nice. Does it need a handrail above the stirrup step on the closed end?

Pondered adding that but not in the kit plans so skipped it. I did add some things elsewhere not in the kit....

Rufus T,

As usual, very nice work.

I'm just curious, and my intent isn't to offer negative criticism, is the car sitting too high? Just looks like it to my untrained eye.

Thanks!

Yeah, it is - there's an extra (unneeded) washer in between the bolster and those trucks; in fact, those bolsters might be needing a bit of milling.

This was just a clean-up, touch-up, add a brake wheel/shaft, and re-paint the ends exercise, and then re-seal all the decals. Left a few things untouched since I thought I might complicate matters.

Not sure why I bought this car other than I just liked it. In doing the re-painting I found that I am now on my last bottle of Floquil Tuscan - the other one went solid sitting in the rack........ So it goes....

Yes, I am learning that knowing where to stop is critical to avoiding a modeling death march.

Any idea what you will switch to once the Floquil is all gone?

Rufus,
Make sure you show us the first cars painted with the alpaca paint.

Socks..... When I run out of Floquil, I'm going to set up a factory staffed by the Amish to make socks from alpaca wool.
