Here’s a side by side of original trucks and the MTH nicer 2 rail trucks 20-89007.

The newer trucks don’t come in silver so I used this paint from Home Depot.

Note: the truck mounting hole will have to be relocated away from the ends of the car to accommodate new trucks. Also dremel off end of truck mounting plate to allow room for Kadee couplers.

Add a washer between the truck and truck mounting plate for clearance.

Those truck side frames are exquisite!

I have been skipping the mods on those truck plates and just running a strip of wood full length - but then, I have been using scale trucks with lower bolsters. Your sideframes look almost as good as my Wasatch trucks. Almost.

Bob, I’ll throw down the bucks for high end trucks if it’s warranted.

But a pair of these MTH trucks ready to roll for $35 for what I’m putting them on are detailed enough for my purposes.
