I'm just seeing if it can be done.

By the way, I have used these 1:1 boxes on a steam engine model. The only real problem is the axle diameter. Because of the size of the gears and available ball bearings that will fit in the gear case, 5mm is the max. I tried a 6mm and the gears kept splitting....just not enough metal left after boring to just under 6mm for press fit.

Of course it can be done. My original premise was that there is nothing to be gained by it, and lots to lose.

I was just making a funny on the thread drift which actually was very informative (much more so than the piece of crap I posted) and probably should have it's own subject header, something like "Is there a Polydrive in your future?" or "Polydrive to the rescue"........!

Think of future searches..............

Well, THAT was a waste of ink because I did a search after I posted my last, using Polydrive, and it found this thread just fine. This forums search feature works much better than most...........
