Me....a lifetime..... Someone talented, maybe 40-50 hours.

Actually, I straightened two of the legs on one of these towers I sold about a year ago for $1800. No original box and it was missing a few staircase parts, but those could be fabricate. it went to a guy who wanted it worse than me.

Because of the latticework structure of the legs, which are the real support for this tower, it was a bit of a bear to straighten them without risking bending them the other way. I put small wood splints on each side and carefully squeezed the splints with a panavise until the legs were 99% straight and the buckles removed. It took a lot of massaging and no shortage of cuss words, but it came out okay.

Someone who solders well, could take the legs apart, straighten them and solder back together. That is the proper way to do it.

The side coal dump building is pretty simple, since you could use K&S brass shapes to replace any buckled structure pieces and side and roof panels look straight to me. They have broken the solder joints only.

BUT, if trainz doesn't pack it well, the new owner could receive a kit instead of a damaged model.

I just went back and looked again and the staircase that comes down to ground level, in between the tracks, is missing. No way to get up to the upper staircase without it and this missing staircase could be harder to fabricate than some of the repairs. That sucks.

I change my estimate after looking again, maybe 100 hours. It's worse than mine by a long shot. I only had damage to 2 legs and the dump building.

I would be very cautious with my bidding. VERY hard to see the damage using just those images. Add to that the IF factor involved in getting it shipped from Trainz to your location!

At my full hourly rate, not even a break even proposition, and far more of a major loss.
