Auel couplers anyone?

Good Day,
Downsizing and housecleaning as they say, and came across six pair of Auel couplers.
By their size I am thinking they are for the 17/64 models.
Overall pretty nice coupler for some one with fixed consist
What time frame where these in use?

Hugh, There are some Auel fans over on OGR. They like the trucks, not sure about the couplers.
