Anything new for painting delrin plastic

For what it's worth, my experience with im/cast Delrin is that its too slick on it's smooth surfaces by it's formula per all of these non-sleeved factory trucks. I lightly sand the truck faces in the .250 range or lightly metal brush the surface with a Dremel and then just blow on whatever the color I want, ideally rust, silver or black.
To Martin's point it works good enough, priming is usually a fail as it makes it all too thick, chips off as the piece flexes or the car is handled, worse than single coat.
Hand grabs/rails are an interesting issue as their flexibility makes them tough to keep paint sticking to them, but again roughed up is better then slick and when/if it sloughs off I think just ok periodic touch up maintenance, and yeah well thinned Floquil works best here too,
again my .02, your results may vary.

Which grabs in particular are you looking for? For which IM kits?

These are the "scale" Chooch ladders and grabs to replace the stock Styrene parts that come with the kit. Really amazing the difference in size between them.

Too bad none of the RC car paint (Lexan bodies) comes in RR usable colors or even earth tones. Maybe can be used for a base coat. i'll come up with a solution and report back.

Decided to just forget the delrin parts for now and stick with the stock IM styrene. This is my 1st kit building, plastic or otherwise for many years, so might as well just get my modeling legs back before I start trying to improve on the kit. Have a very nice Chooch urethane UP flat car that will require more skill (1st urethane kit) than the IM, so making mistakes on lesser important cars is important.
