Bob -- Two things:

First, I was surprised as anybody that those two Baldwin and one Adams/Sieber E-units sold for what they did. Of course, Trainz misrepresented them as all Adams, but anybody that believes what Trainz says without verifying it gets what they deserve. I was likewise surprised that Railchief apparently bought them, but I do know he is always on the lookout for parts so he may have indeed bought them to strip and flip.

Second, the PRR E unit that you show looks like an Exacta model. The slant in the forward vent is one clue (Exacta/Central Lines later corrected this mistake). Exactas had the cast sides and are missing any Adams and Son mark from the castings, though I believe A&S actually did the casting work for them.

Note that the roof does not match either of the two well-know Adams & Son E-unit roofs (offset stacks or centered stacks). Further discussion on this can be found in OST #88 Nov-Dec 2016. Since that was published I have found an Exacta flyer which confirms that their E-unit was indeed all cast.

Rich - thanks for the tip. There is plenty of metal in these pilots to cut them back a bit. I need to invest in a good skinny belt sander.

Jim - I was told that the two Exacta E-7s I got from Milt Sorenson were the only ones - then that PRR unit arrived with a matching aluminum B. Do you suppose all the cast side Es were Exacta? I will go back and check your article . . .

I have an Exacta B unit body. It is constructed the same way their streamlined passenger cars are. It has Exacta stamped inside of it as the passenger cars do. I'd post a photo but I can't find it.

Steve's copper-side E-unit is rare, as best I can tell. Here is a clp from a 1946 ad for the copper-sided version:

I have never seen a copper-sided A or B unit, but I certainly don't doubt that Steve has one. I know of a half-dozen of the cast units.

Thank you all for the Exacta educational courses....46~9 were exciting times in the O scale diesel world . One needs a play book to follow all the actors.
