Chrome product that works

Since we don't really use chrome in modeling trains this may not be that important to our segment of the hobby. But, I could sure see where it could be a game changer for the model car builders. Made for automotive use, but I'm sure it could be used for hobby as well. Amazing product and worth your time to looksee. Painted on and turns to a fantastic chrome finish before your eyes.

That’s some cool stuff! Except for the $249. price tag!!

Never went that far to check the price Jon. But, if you build custom or museum quality car models, it might be worth it. Or, I guess if you needed it for a car restoration, but its not for me. I just thought it was pretty amazing stuff.

There’s no doubt that it’s some impressive stuff, but the cost caught me a bit off guard!

I am still considering nickel plate for some PAs. Used to be easy, with a chrome shop in every city, using the triple process. Now, not so much.

Bob, the last time I had to have some Harley parts chromed the plating shop told me the EPA made them stop nickel plating in the process because of the fumes or some environmental bull crap.

And that's why re-chromed stuff rusts within a year. I thought chromium was the EPA bugaboo.
