Hard to tell for sure, but almost looks like I can see splice markings in the boiler.

The guy's name is Rodney. I hope he finds his way here; he is selling a collection for a now-departed old-timer. Some of his freight cars are intriguing. I told him we could help identify stuff. I think he now believes the Texas is a scratchbuilt.

What I meant was - very few serious model railroaders know the difference between Scale Craft, Lobaugh, and Pratt. I am sure most of those don't care.

I am a serious lover of old Mustang convertibles. I will not bother to figure out the difference between manufacturers of all these little ugly white sedans.

Disparaging someone for not knowing arcana is not the way I would play it.
