We don't get any dry heat here either. Humidity is usually 80% +.

Dave is in Kirkland on the NE corner of Lake Washington, whereas I am in the Seattle City Limits. On Tuesday, August 8, we broke Seattle's "dry spell" record of 51 days from 1951. We are now at 52 and looks to go same to this coming weekend. Sky color is & has been dull silver due to smoke haze from Canadian forest fires. Air quality has been less than good--unusual for this area. Good time to be in basement for Dave--hop he is getting something useful done model rr-wise. I've just been taking it easy, reading & watching TV.

Getting a lot done...in spurts. Benchwork modified, most in (two fillers to go on main), pulling up some old track, cleaning off ballast remains, adding switches and new(er) track.
My hope is to get the southern part done and wired up maybe this month, if the west junction can be done, I can still use the "old" main and south end of new yard while I finish north end and finalize new main at that end, and still run.

You did know about Spaulding, right?

Heard it hit 112 in Portland the other day. Stay hydrated.

Dave,

Your junk is on it's way to you via USPS Priority Mail. Supposed to be there Wed. About 4 pounds worth.

Same deal I make with others......once it's in your possession I don't want any of it back. Can't use it......toss it.
