My laptop shows a different image then my Iphone. Something i never noticed before.

It's about half scary when you think about it! Think about simple stuff like this, and then think about stuff like driverless cars!

I of course know nothing about Amtrak locomotives or driverless cars, but I do know about modern airliners. Once in a while they do stuff a pilot would find objectionable. Believe it or not, a computer flew an airliner into a mountain in South America, with qualified pilots asking "why is it doing that?"

Once each four day sequence I would set up for an "auto land." Every now and then the computer would say "you got it, Captain!" Happened once in the flare! That is seconds before the wheels touch!

People follow their GPS every day thinking (not!) that it knows where it's going....and in this case the GPS is probably smarter than the driver
