I was asking what you were gluing with the canopy glue - glazing to interior sides? What's the glazing material?

Wised I could find some more of the trucks, they roll so well you can check level with them. I have several sets of the Kemtron equivalent and they are missing the end beams . Any of youse Bobs got any stashed in your closets?

Those look like Wasatch trucks under the aluminum car..........or if Kemtron, you've added some nice detail.

I'm using some clear styrene I got at a local RC shop. It came in an 18" square sheet so I'm cutting strips as I need them.

I just checked the side l did and it looks alright, takes 24 hours for it to fully cure.

Oh, that explains the glue choice. I don't use clear styrene all that often for glazing, but using glass for those sides is at best, challenging.

Diamond tip scribe - 3-4 passes working on top of brown cardstock so I can see what I'm cutting - usually that's all it takes - does take practice and a "feel".

Bob D., The bevel is so you don't see the wood floor under the Vestibule door. Ruf's glue trick will glue metal to tile and hold, but you must get it right the absolute first time! I have had a side frame soaking know for awhile in acetone and no love on the release yet. Maybe another month, surprised the plastic hasn't dissolved yet.
I use Bobs epoxy from now on to adhere sides to the floor and it is holding well through 2 years of basement ups and owns in Temp and humidity.
I have had excellent results with the Testors green for placing roof details on the Heavyweights and about three coats of sanding sealer usually makes a nice smoothness. Good luck on your car.

Great looking models. Any comments on the brass battery boxes (very nice - castings or scratched) and the scribed wood roof - can't tell if it was scribed, or did you add tape or strathmore strips to simulate the roof panels? Inspiring build notes....thanks
