You want to call him a scoundrel, that's up to you. Not having met the person, not having dealt with the person, now having all of the facts in hand, I'm not in a position to judge.

I didn't, But if it makes you feel better to think so, go ahead.

The listing has been changed to say it is an Atlantic and the box is not the box it would have come in. And yeah, I missed that the box says O scale on it.

Guy learned something from your questions and responded -- a lot better than some others that just blow it all back at you.....

There's hope yet. Still, that price is a bit much,

The guy sent me another ebay message. He found the engine that goes with the first box and he is going to list it. You heard it here first, stay tuned for late breaking developments. Oh yes, and the Atlantic didn't sell.

When I checked he had ended the listing due to an error. A lot of people sell stuff on eBay when their hobby is stamp collecting and appreciate guidance. You can usually tell by their reply. Not every one selling stuff that raises our eyebrows is a crook!

But did he find the tender for the E6?

Oh yes, and the Atlantic didn't sell.

Unsurprising at the listed price.

The G5 is now on Ebay, with the tender. Here is the url:

Perhaps he's got some more O scale. Since we are buds now; I will ask him.

He has the E6 listed as well; each @ $1200.

Since you are buds, maybe you could let him know that his starting price is about double reality,

Maybe, but maybe he just has no idea at all?

Actually, he has a brilliant plan to ensure the purchaser buys both engines.

IMO, If the seller really wants to sell these models, he'd better be willing to cut their price in half.

Well,

I see the seller has reduced the price of these two Max Gray Pennsy locos and put the correct tenders with the locomotives in the new photos. His starting bid, IMO, is still too high. If I did not already own these models, i would offer about half of his current asking price.

Well, he decided to end the listing due to an error so I don't think he's a scoundrel, just a non model railroader.

Regarding being a non-model railroader, it is always telling when the seller photograph of the model shows the tender reversed behind the loco. I feel sorry for the fireman!
