I'm guessing most of the extreme protestors are Islamist sympathizers and actual Islamists who want to see the Western democracies replaced by a Caliphate. The vast majority of students and faculty do not support Palestinian claims overall, and, while sympathetic to the idealistic students' wishes for an end to civilian deaths, also realize that that destruction of the country of Israel is not a rational, reasonable or desirable goal. If you think otherwise, you don't know jack about the Ivy League . Even during the 1960s when student protests were also prevalent, and most of us supported the protests, we also realized demonstrating against a bunch of Latin and physics professors wasn't going to end the draft or end the War in Vietnam. Current protests are a tempest in a teapot compared with the 1960s, and other than the anti-semitic undertones, signify nothing of importance. The only protestors calling for an end to Israel are Islamists, Palestinians and useful idiots. Fortunately such enemies of Western Civilization are pretty rare, if loud. And at least they aren't blowing up VA facilities or shooting people, like the nutjobs on the right have done in some instances. Murderous violence comes mostly from right wing fanatics, Islamists and other religious loonies.

As for COVID vaccines being unsafe, you are so wildly mistaken it's not worth arguing about. Your sources are idiots and charlatans, with rare exception. I suspect OJ was guilty .

We have a public school teacher in town. This guy runs the schools muslim club. On his personal website he calls for death to the uprising Jew. Public school 11th grade teacher. Also has support of a school board member. They called an emergency meeting on this matter. Meeting was during passover. Go figure. Our last school would not tolerate any advocacy in the classroom. No school board changes that. Jewish kids sit in classrooms with pride flags and Palestine flags. No stars of David Israel flags. Tell me how a jewish kid can feel safe ?

I love it. It's about time companies, governments and local communities take charge again. Allowing the inmates to run the prison is a no win scenario, as can be seen with our world the past 2-4-6 decades. Democrats fractured over views of pro-Palestinian campus protests, poll finds

That generational divide hits a pain point for President Joe Biden as he struggles to galvanize young voters and unify a base at odds with itself just months before the 2024 presidential election. As Biden looks to piece together a fragile coalition — drawing support from Republicans and independents while shoring up liberal support — he has little room to maneuver on an issue that has become increasingly fractured.

Nearly three-quarters of Democratic respondents, 74 percent, say they broadly believe protesters on campus are “in the right.” But 48 percent of Democrats say they also think activists are “taking things too far,” compared to 26 percent who say students are “doing the right thing” in their demonstrations.

“There is a right to protest,” Biden said during his first official remarks addressing student protests early last month. “But there is not a right to cause chaos.”

Voters between 18 and 34 years old break with all surveyed Democrats on how universities should respond to protests and where their sympathies lie in the conflict abroad. Just over half of young voters, 52 percent, “strongly” or “somewhat” support the expulsion of students who violated the law or school rules while protesting, compared to 61 percent of all Democrats.

“I worry very much that President Biden is putting himself in a position where he has alienated not just young people, but a lot of the Democratic base,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour after the president’s remarks in May.
