Problem with Forum threads
Problem with Forum threads
Recently I have been getting some odd stuff showing up at the top of the page when I try to open up threads. It looks like the following.
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/bbcode.php on line 494: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is no longer supported, use preg_replace_callback instead
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/bbcode.php on line 113: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is no longer supported, use preg_replace_callback instead
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions.php on line 5277: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3903)
Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Across the top of my iPhone, upon which I am visiting this forum, at the moment, it continues to state: “Not secure.”
On my laptop, Firefox keeps telling me MTJ is not secure.

It appears that the problem has cleared up this morning. Thank you to WIMC!

My ancient iPad says that nothing is secure. And some sites will no longer come up - incompatible software. Planned obsolescence. Most of the time, changes seem to make things more difficult - Hotmail is becoming intransigent.

Thank you for that tip, Rufus. This is the first time I have seen the security lock on MTJ closed.

It's probably not compatible with newer protocols and security settings.

Not really planned at all; newer capabilities, protocols, and security setting left your iPad behind.

It will get worse; it's a matter of how much lost of function you can accept if you stay with obsolete hardware and software both.

While the vast majority of the MTJ appears to be restored, there remain a few non-functional aspects.

I recently acquired an old Dell Optiplex (real cheap, $10.00) because it had a label stating that it is a Linux server or some such and I wanted to play with Linux a bit. When I got it home and opened up to check the innards, I found that it had no hard drive. I will be adding a drive and installing XP Pro as I have some great devices (a 2x2 slide scanner for one) that no longer have drivers for Win 8.1. It will never go online so obsolescence will not be a problem.

Stand-alone work station use is great. I have an isolated XP laptop that exists solely to run 1 piece of software.
