Is this a kitbash? The Transall C-160 French/German transport did not have a "T" tail.

T tail on a transport is actually pretty common. Not so sure about the reverse swept wing. That usually increases stress/bending moments on the airfoil and definitely increases drag. Did you reverse the airfoil shape, i.e. the thicker leading edge being towards the front of the plane.

Good luck with the model. It will look cool!

Well I went by how the control surfaces were inscribed..I got the engine nacelles together abd pounded out a couple aluminum plates and used flattened aluminum tubing for the exhaust pipes.Very cool! Image

Is the filler putty dark gray or have you primed over the putty to check for smoothness?

They are both about the same shade of grey.

What kind of putty?

I tend to use Tamiya but I'm not overly fond of it, too much shrinkage. Tried Squadron Green, really don't like that. I have used Bondo/3M "spot" putty but the tubes are too big. I wind up using 10-15% and losing 85-90%.

I like the way Vallejo sands sown and doesn't shrink but I have had issues with adhesion. When it sticks, it's great. It's just that it tends to slide off during application. I haven't figured out why. Nothing explicit in the instructions. Maybe I need to chemically roughen the surface?

I have found that if I put the tube in a container of warm water before use it is easier to work with.

Thanks!!!! I'll have to give that a try. Maybe keeping the tube in some other container to further limit exposure to air.
