Neil, I don’t believe the weapon matters in this case. Any good hunting rifle would have worked. Maybe even better. We have shall bot be infringed for a reason. If the government wants to rewrite that . They need to form a constitutional congress and vote on amending our constitution.

No doubt, but ignoring the vitriol on both sides of the aisle and failing to be aware of laws that make access to weapons of mass murder are not the intention of the Constitution. It's possible that had he a simple hunting rifle he wouldn't have gotten eight shots off and someone might have been spared. Not guaranteed, but any objective person would realize there is no reason for civilians without military connections, such as members of a state militia, to own a rapid firing weapon. In places like Australia and England, even hunting weapons are restricted, and I haven't noticed them devolving into government oppression.
Anyhow, if one is idiot enough to think that this was a political attack, orchestrated by Trump's enemies, one isn't qualified to cross the street without supervision. Crazy people do crazy things, and making it easy to kill as many people as possible is extremely stupid, and isn't in any way protected by the Constitution. Nitwits like Alito and his ilk say we should be Constitutional originalists. If that's the case, only muzzle loading muskets and handguns should be protected by the Second Amendment. There is no protection for guns with magazines if you are a Constitutional originalist.

They don’t know how many shots were his. Four may have come from the shooter and four from the security team. We’ll know in a few days. I believe our founders wanted us to have the same firepower as the government. Remember they just finished fighting for their independence.
With gun ownership come great responsibility. All my guns are disassembled and locked up. I have a 10 year old daughter in the house.
We don’t outlaw cellphones when people kill somebody while driving and texting. Shootings are tragic and sensational at the same time. People and the media jump all over them. What if it was a Mack truck? The fact that this guy was on a roof from a former president and campaigning president.shows bad security. the 2nd trial for Hunter Biden is coming in September. This is the one for income tax evasion and fraud.
And it is all on the laptop. The one that Joe claimed did not exist and was Russian disinformation. But the FBI has already stated the laptop belongs to Hunter and it was used against him in his conviction for breaking daddy's gun control laws.

I suppose it is a characteristic of human nature that people are quick to criticize and spread gossip denigrating others, without ever questioning whether the hate they are spewing is justified or not. It is with this in mind that I would like to share a story along with some facts about an individual of whom many are not at all aware. They are not aware of these factual stories because the mainstream media have not published them. For those of you who question the voracity of what follows, take heart. You can follow the advice of that famous New York Yankee Field Manager, Casey Stengel, and “go look it up” on Snopes or Google
Here are a few stories I’d like to share with you:
Ø In 1986 a farmer, Leonard Hill, took his own life on the morning his farm was to go to a courthouse auction, believing his life insurance would pay enough to save the cotton & soybean plantation that has been in his family for over 100 years. A complete stranger in Queens, New York read about this story & paid off the remaining $77,000 mortgage.
Ø A USMC Sergeant spent 7 months in a Mexican prison for accidentally crossing the border with a firearm. He was beaten & tortured in jail Once he was released, the man from Queens, N.Y sent him a check for $25,000 "To help get you started."
Ø In 2013 A black bus driver saved a suicidal girl from jumping off a bridge. This same Queens, N.Y. man sent him a check for $10,000.
Ø A Rabbi's critically ill son needed to go from NYC to California for specialty care treatment in 1988. No airline would fly him. A generous man in Queens, N.Y. paid for a private flight for the child.
Ø In 2017 after Army Corporal Dillon Baldridge was killed in Afghanistan, a generous man in Queens, N.Y. sent his father a check for $25,000.
Ø When Ed McMahon was dying of cancer, the bank was foreclosing on his house, and put him out on the street. The man from Queens, N.Y. bought the house and let him live there in his dying days.
This kind-hearted man from Queens has committed many other "quiet random acts of kindness."
A wise man once said, "If a man's heart is good, nothing else matters; if a man's heart is bad, nothing else matters."
Who is this kind man?... His name is Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States, a man with a good heart. Incidentally, this quiet generous man from Queens, N.Y. did not take a pay check while he served as our President. Instead he donated his entire salary of $1.6 million over four years to charitable causes. Were any of you aware of this? Can you name another President in our 240+ year history who did this? No one demanded he do this. He just did it on his own.
Do you think Joe Biden or Barack Hussein Obama would do any of these things? How about Bill Clinton or his bride, Hillary? To this day I find it fascinating that the Clinton Foundation received $145,000,000 in contributions from Russia but President Trump is the guy the Democrats investigated and impeached twice.
I bet that if you asked a Trump hater to explain why it is they hate Trump, they would not be able to answer beyond things like “He is not Presidential” or “he hates women” or “he is crass and doesn’t speak well”. Try it. See what happens!
I sometimes wonder why the mainstream media do not publish this kind of information? The answer is quite simple: hate is a wasted emotion. It clouds your judgement. The disdain of the mainstream media, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and The View towards Trump blinds them to being fair and just. They prefer to wallow in disgusting hate instead of focusing on the good Trump has done as President of our great nation and as just a good hearted human being.
If you do your research carefully, you may find tidbits of information and maybe even a photo or two of President Trump walking by himself, in the rain, around the sacred burial grounds of Arlington National Cemetery where real heroes lie. You may even find brief stories of President Trump waiting at Dover Air Force Base at 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM for the arrival of the remains of those killed in action. Sometimes he would be accompanied by his wife Melania. That is what real leaders do.
There are those who would say that Trump is a hard-nosed businessman who drives tough deals, and he may have “offended” some people along the way. Running a successful company as Trump does, there are times when that happens. He is by no means perfect. He is not a candidate for Sainthood! That does not change the fact that at his core he is a good man who loves his country.
I can make that statement because I know him. And the stories above are only a handful of the good he has done. Indeed, an objective look at his record while in office speaks volumes when compared to the record of Joseph R. Biden by any yardstick of measurement you wish to put forward.
We need to take back our country from the machinations of the global elites and from the progressive wing of the democratic party who want to transform America into a socialist state. Remember, it was Barack Hussein Obama who led that charge and Joe Biden was his Vice President. If you don’t think that allowing our southern border be overrun with 10+ million illegal immigrants is not a step towards weakening and “transforming America”, you have not been paying attention. No nation in the history of mankind has survived without protecting its borders.
It is time to get Donald Trump back in office, and get our country back on the right track.
The alternatives are too ominous to even contemplate unless of course you want to learn how to speak Chinese and Russian, and you do not care about your children and grandchildren.

If Joe Biden were to drop out of the running who would the democrats pick to replace him. Kamala Harris would be the obvious choice. She is the Vice President and only 59 years old. if they didn't pick her it would look really bad for them.
