Who is paying for them and how much does a shot cost?
Not completely sure but I believe Trump said they would be free to all Americans.....although nothings free so I guess we are all paying for it in one way or another
But Trump is gone and Biden seems to be going on with this program. I guess we, the tax payers, are paying for it.
Are the big pharma companies selling at cost or will they just make more big bucks from it?
I'm just curious about how much each shot actually costs.
I'm not concerned about where the money will come from.
We all know that the taxpayers wil pay.
Political parties are unimportant in this.

Pretty sure that this was settled last year when deals were cut and moeny changed hands from the Gov't to many companies - a lot of that has not been delivered on either. But, money was set aside for R&D, and then for distribution and delivery. Depending what money was accepted, strings were attached.......or not.

Yes. TANSTAAFL.

Nothing wrong with the tax payers footing the bill. I have a problem paying for the abuse, waste and other added BS.

Abuse, waste and other added BS is hardly new and is normal. There's always talk about eliminating waste, but it really never goes away. There's a serious lack of will within Congress to have that happen.

I have heard that some are paying $40.00 for a covid shot.
I have heard that there are counterfeit covid shots.
Counterfeiting is usually to make money in a not legal manner.
So how much can they cost legally to make and sell?

Legally to make an FDA approved drug costs are beyond the reach of mere mortals.

Waste and abuse usually ends up in a senator’s pocket. Why would they try to make it go away?

No, it's more complicated than that and more circuitous; it's generally Gov't contracts back to their districts for stuff that's unwanted and/or unneeded to bring home the bacon, get those campaign contribution, and to insure getting re-elected.

My friend’s mom donated $125,000 and held several fund raisers in Bucks. After the election her son received a job with the Penna turnpike. He was paid $3000 a week. Didn’t take long for mom to get her money back.

Vaccine booster shots for 32m to begin next month
https://news.yahoo.com/vaccine-booster- ... 38033.html
Booster vaccines are to be offered to 32million Britons starting early next month with up to 2,000 pharmacies set to deliver the programme, The Telegraph can disclose.
Amid fears that the efficacy of the vaccines may begin to decline, ministers are planning to deliver an average of almost 2.5million third doses a week starting in the first week of September.
Pharmacies will be at the forefront of the vaccine programme so that GPs and other NHS staff can focus on the growing backlog of patients waiting for other treatments.
All adults aged 50 and over, as well as the immuno-suppressed, will be offered the booster jabs.
The campaign could start as soon as Sept 6, which would see the rollout completed by early December if it goes to plan. It is hoped the timetable will leave at least a fortnight for the final people vaccinated to benefit from the jab's effect before Christmas.

Japan finds black particles in Moderna vaccine
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-58405210
Japan has put a batch of Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine on hold after a foreign substance was found in a vial.
A pharmacist saw several black particles in one vial of the vaccine in Kanagawa Prefecture, according to authorities.
Some 3,790 people had already received shots from the batch. The rest of the batch has now been put on hold.
It comes less than a week after Japan suspended the use of about 1.63 million Moderna doses due to contamination.
The pharmacist found the black particles while checking for foreign substances before the vaccine's use.
The jab's domestic distributor has collected the vial suspected to be contaminated.
Local media reports say there is no evidence so far of any health hazards caused by the potentially contaminated vaccine.
Takeda Pharmaceutical, which sells and distributes the vaccine in Japan, had just last week put three batches of the vaccine on hold after "foreign materials" were found in some doses of a batch of roughly 560,000 vials.
