Walmart has removed gun and ammunition from display in thousands of its stores in the United States, citing concerns of "civil unrest".

New York City luxury buildings hire armed guards for possible Election Day unrest

New York’s ultra-rich are quietly preparing for civil unrest on Election Day — by hiring armed guards to stand watch over their luxury Manhattan buildings.

“There will be officers with submachine guns,” the source said. “We’ve always had immense security, but there will be more. We’ll have extra patrols. The entire building can be shut down with one button.”

Many buildings are hiring off duty cops instead of private security companies because they fear a repeat of Denver, where a private guard shot and killed a protester, said one real estate insider.

Added another luxury building board member said high-end residents have been warned to take precautions by the NYPD.

WTF is going on in NYC. Are the people going to go Bat $hit Crazy in NY Because of the election if they don't get what they want.

Most of the people there are already Bat $hit Crazy but that's beside the point

'submachine guns,” Are they actually going to shoot people if they try to get into these buildings

Hire an off duty cop. What do you do if he is called into work? Imagine the lawsuit if Walmart is looted . somebody steals unsecured guns and ammo. Then girls somebody with that gun. A lot of places near me have signs out. "Closed Nov.3rd". Civil unrest should not happen till about Nov 8. For the record Submachine is a media term. Not many people have a license to carry a submachine gun. Off duty law enforcement is required to have a license for machine guns.

I hope Trump just barely squeaks out a victory because that will cause the Communists even more anguish and torment for the whole 4 years.

Walmart returns guns and ammunition to US store displays
https://www.ky3.com/2020/10/30/walmart- ... -displays/

NEW YORK (AP) — Walmart has reversed course, announcing it is returning ammunition and firearms to their displays in its U.S. stores.

On Thursday the nation’s largest retailer said it had removed the items from displays due to “civil unrest” in some areas of the country. Guns and ammunition, however, had remained for sale at the stores, just not visible to shoppers.

But on Friday Walmart said the items had been restored to displays because the unrest has remained isolated.

The moves come after several days of protests, vandalism, and an overnight curfew in Philadelphia after police fatally shot a Black man with a history of mental health problems.

"After civil unrest earlier this week resulted in damage to several of our stores, consistent with actions we took over the summer, we asked stores to move firearms and ammunition from the sales floor to a secure location in the back of the store in an abundance of caution, " Walmart said in a statement. “As the current incidents have remained geographically isolated, we have made the decision to begin returning these products to the sales floor today.”

THE KEY "geographically isolated" Yes geographically isolated to the big cities where the rioting and looting is taking place

A sub machine fires a sub caliber bullet such as a 9mm or a 45 acp. Uzis are sub machine guns that fire a 9mm

The Thomson sub machine fires the 45acp. the 45 acp is what is used in the colt model 1911 handgun. The military used the colts and the thomsons during world was two. The police also use them. They have selective fire and full auto versions

A machine gun fires a higher caliber bullet like a 50 caliber usually attached to a belt and not a magazine/clip like the sub machine gun
