Greta Thurnberg

The following is just my opinion about this. I have listened to the speech she gave at the UN back in Sept.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMrtLsQbaok

And I agree with the first 2 things she said.

Quote
"This all is wrong, I should not be here. I should be back home in school."

But then she said.
Quote
"You have stolen my dreams and my childhood"

Sorry Greta, but nobody has stolen you dreams and childhood except you.....

The liberal activist climate change media picked up on her and made her a celebrity. Once she has gone to China and India to admonish their politicians maybe she will have more credibility.

Hondo, You pretty much NAILED it. I don't dislike the girl, probably a nice kid. What I dislike is the manipulative B*stards in the media using her to put forth their agenda. Time calling her person of the year is ludicrous and exploitative. The Fourth Estate has sunken to levels I never dreamed possible.

I enjoyed the first video and agree with it and Hondo and E7.
I have contended for some time that there is climate change
but that man has little to do with it. In geologic years the little
ice age was not long ago and we do not know what the "normal"
temperature on earth should be. I understand that the axis of
the Earth has inclined a little more and that this would also affect
the climate.
I am not a scientist. I was a reader of many subjects when I had
decent eyesight. My children have all told me that I am just full of
(useless) information. I am 85 and have a very limited income,
school teachers pension, and do not have the resources or desire
and ambition to take on a cause. I am afraid that our young people,
where the hope for the future of Earth should lie, are only concerned
with the present and themselves. I hope I am wrong. :(

I support thread drift.

With all that is happening with the China Virus, Greta has not been getting any attention that she is used to.

So she says she had the China Virus. But wasn't tested for it.

Greta Thunberg says she 'likely' had new coronavirus

Stockholm (AFP) - Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg said Tuesday that it was "extremely likely" that she had contracted the new coronavirus, after experiencing several symptoms following a trip to central Europe.

"Around ten days ago I started feeling some symptoms... I was feeling tired, had shivers, a sore throat and coughed," the teenage climate champion said in an Instagram post.

Thunberg said the symptoms emerged after she returned from a trip around central Europe, and that she and her father had isolated themselves as a precaution.

As of Tuesday, Sweden had reported 2,272 confirmed cases, but only those with severe symptoms in need of hospital care and staff working with at risk groups are tested.

Therefore, Thunberg said she had not been tested, but said "it's extremely likely" that she had it, "given the combined symptoms and circumstances."

The 17-year-old also said she had now "basically recovered," but cautioned others, saying she "almost didn’t feel ill."

Just when I figured her 15 minutes of fame were up she is back. Not only is she an expert on climate change she is also an expert on the virus.

An upcoming CNN town hall on the coronavirus pandemic will feature 17-year-old Greta Thunberg alongside a panel of medical experts.

The program, “Coronavirus Facts and Fears,” also includes CNN broadcaster Sanjay Gupta, 50, former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, 71 and former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Richard Besser, 60. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, 52, will host alongside Gupta.

However, social media watchdogs are foaming at the mouth over the choice to place a teen climate activist on a panel with public health experts.
