The two newest members of MTJ signed in on 1/9/19 and 6/27/19.
I used to encourage new members to post and join in and a few did. However it was so few I felt that I was wasting time.

Now a couple of questions. I do not remember how I found MTJ. CTT and OGR advertised their forums in their magazines
and I was reading them before MTJ. I decided that I liked MTJ best. This leads to;
How do we get more members in MTJ?
And do we actually want new members?
There are a lot of people on the member list who make one or no posts and are never heard from again.
Would it be worth trying to find out why?

I have seen some forums almost self destruct because of internal problems. Once that happened here but we got through
those problems.
I read most forums that have O scale, 2 or 3 rail, sections even though I just run some trains now and then I like to try
to keep up with stuff.

Roger, We'll use the old saw: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. They will do what they will do, and you aren't going to change it. Opinion!

Be gad we still have forums rather than those stupid Facebook groups where there are no titles so you have to click on everything to find if it's any interest to you or not.

From the few responses this got I assume that we are happy with MTJ as it is. I won't touch this subject again.

Feel free to encourage new members to join! Nothing wrong with getting new folks to participate. We definitely want more new members.
There are 1074 new memberships in que waiting to be approved. Of those, probably 1073are Russian bots. No, really! We've got to figure out a technical way to prevent bots from signing up as that prevents us from approving legit new members. So yes, we'd love new folks and keep on participating!

Wayne,
How do I know those reports are NOT from Russian, or other, bots?
