How did the title get changed from GM BL2 to GE BL2 just on a few posts?

Not enough information to answer you, Roger. I saw Monon BL2 #32 in New Haven, Kentucky at the Kentucky Railway Museum this year, 2019.
It had been on display at the Kentucky Railway Museum in Louisville, Kentucky from 1972 until 1990 when it moved with the museum to New Haven. Is that the one you saw?

Western Maryland BL2 #81 (and its accompanying trailer unit #139T) is on static display at the B&O Museum in Baltimore:

Pretty sure that EMD was owned by GE? And, pretty sure that one I saw in Baltimore is still there

From the B&) RR Museum web site:
The BL-2 was General Motor's first attempt to design a road switcher (BL stands for branch line). They were used for local runs, and passenger and freight trains. The BL-2s had a sculpted body, which allowed the engineer to see the rear of the locomotive for switching operations in reverse. The BL-2s were placed into production in 1948 and quickly discontinued a year later due to minimal sales. They were expensive to build and maintain, compared to the new GP-7 model.

EMD was a division of GM (General Motors).

The BL@ you saw at New Haven IS the same one I saw in Louisville before the museum was moved.
The Louisville one was IMO difficult to get too.Never had the chance to go to the new one.
I visited the Age of Steam museum in Dallas before it was moved also.
Two points. The old one had stuff very close together and it was difficult to see.
For someone who knew the area the old one may have been easy to find but for
me, I had never been to Dallas before, it took over an hour to find even though
it was right next to the Cotton Bowl stadium. I have not been to the new one
but have heard it has easier access.
