What on Earth...
One of the three daggers found in Pharoah Tutankamon's tomb has a blade made of iron. However, it would take at least 300 years after his reign until Egypt was capable of making iron. Plus, the iron blade has been discovered to have nickel and cobalt in its composition, which has helped make it possible for the iron blade not to have rusted at all in 3000 years.
Ancient Egypt's word for this iron is the expression "iron from the skies.

Re: What on Earth...
A dagger entombed alongside the mummy of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun was made with iron that came from a meteorite, researchers say. The weapon was one of a pair of daggers discovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1925 within the burial wrappings of the teenaged king.
Yep, iron from the skies.

Re: What on Earth...
Maybe. But how does it go from chunk-o-meteorite to blade, in a culture not adept / skilled at producing iron blades, as yet? 300 yrs is 300 yrs.

Why Did King Tut Have A Knife Made Out Of Meteorite?
https://www.popsci.com/why-did-king-tut ... -meteorite
From the article.
King Tut was buried sometime in the 14th century BC. X-ray analysis of the 13-inch dagger showed that the iron that was used to make the blade contained relatively high levels of nickel and small levels of cobalt, indicating that it came from an iron-rich meteorite, not terrestrial iron ore.
This isn't as surprising as you might think. It takes an enormous amount of heat to extract iron from iron ore (iron-rich rocks). Metalworkers in ancient Egypt could (and did) work with metals with lower melting points like copper, tin, and gold, even creating alloys of copper and tin to make bronze (leading to the term the 'Bronze Age' for this period of time). But during and before the reign of King Tut, the craftsmen didn't yet have the technology to heat forges to the high temperatures needed to smelt (extract) iron from terrestrial sources.
That means that before the Iron Age started in Egypt around 1200 BC the only reliable source of iron (and it was still rare), was meteorites, where iron was already so concentrated that gifted metalworkers could work with the metal, essentially skipping the step of extracting the iron from ore.
The authors also note that during the 13th century BC, hieroglyphs that refer to iron undergo a shift. Instead of just referring to iron as 'iron', writers refer to 'iron from the sky' indicating that Egyptians and other people around the Mediterranean knew perfectly well where these valuable metal-rich rocks were coming from.

Can such a consideration be summarily omitted from consideration in this history?
Not in my imagination and conjecture.
The name Imhotep, designer and builder of the "StepPyramid," at Saqqara, in Egyptian, means, " He comes in peace."
Part of the equation?
Indeed, let us ask, What (is) on Earth...?

Thank you Hondo74 for revealing the truth. I just have one more thing to add...
To the ancient Egyptians, iron was known as the “metal of heaven,” says the University College London. “In the hieroglyphic language of the ancient Egyptians, it was pronounced ba-en-pet, meaning either stone or metal of Heaven.” For thousands of years, before humans learned to smelt iron ore, Egyptians were crafting knives, beads, and trinkets from it, harvesting the metal from fallen meteorites. The rarity of the metal gave it a special place in Egyptian society, says Nature: “Iron was very strongly associated with royalty and power.” Thus it is occasionally found in burial sites of kings.

Stone or Metal from Heaven, not iron from heaven. Some writers like to bamboozle the gullible by modifying the truth. The next thing you know the minor lie becomes proof of ancient visits from extraterrestrials bringing IRON to the Egyptians. To the Egyptians, it was mystery metal. They did not have a word for Iron, that would come later when furnaces hot enough to melt iron from ore came into existence. "Iron," might have come from the Greek word, ieros, meaning "strong."

Re: What on Earth...
One more thing:
Iron melts at 2800 degree Fahrenheit = 1811 kelvin.
Iron has to be heated to half its kelvin melting point to be ductile enough to be hammered into a knife.
1811 kelvin / 2 = 906 kelvin = 1171 degree Fahrenheit
The melting point of bronze varies depending on the ratio of the alloy components and is about 1,742 °F.
Since the Egyptians could make bronze alloys, they had high enough temperatures to easily work iron meteorites.

Re: What on Earth...
Nice work, Hondo and Wayne. You certainly made a good case for the practical inclusion of iron in the history of Egypt, even during the Bronze Age. There are some Egyptologists and archeologists that might still have another viewpoint, one that theorizes a direct interference/involvement by Extra-terrestrials.
However. Neeeeeexxxxt…..
How on Earth, then....
...would we explain the 70 TON red-granite boxes, and some of diorite, with their 30 TON lids found @ the Serapeum, Saqqara, Egypt, with their 2/10,000 of an inch laser-straight perfection of fitted surfaces and fit-together seams???Huh? Huh? By simply believing some Bronze Age Egyptian workers just bronze-tool-pecked and chipped them into shape and existance and reality?
...AND subsequently squeeeeeeeezzzed them into their tight little close-fitting (to say the least) niches? Huh? Huh? How did they get those boxes down the very narrow "hallways"? They just moved them into their niches by a little wiggling and schlepping? How many men would that have taken. And they did it all with ropes?! Huh? Huh? AND 25 boxes, no less.
C'mon. Some things are not explained-away by conjecture and religious philosophies, are they?
The Serapeum labyrinth, man, that's no bull.
What on Earth are they, and how did they come into being and get to where they are?

The meteoric source of Egyptian iron is no longer conjecture or religious philosophy. It is pure scientific investigation.

Murph, Murph, Murph, April 1 is over. What are you doing? Do you actually believe the hoax you are passing on to us?
The boxes with bulls or other animals in them are no more technologically perfect than any other Egyptian carvings, and no more hermetically sealed than any large stone container completely covered with a giant heavy stone. All claims you have given to us in your post were created just to fool you.
