That was a large gathering of folks in 1930 during the start of the depression.

Not much there today in Air Hill. Driven through there many times after coming over the Timmons through Roxbury to Scotland.

Notice how many of the cars look alike. Wonder how each ever found their own. I don't think they hit the horn button on their FOBs.

Especially good advice, when you're talking about an invisible starship.

Just like today except for the horn remote button.
They were also fairly large.

Seeing all those cars I would say the roaring 20s was a period of prosperity for the people of Pennsylvania.

Ford's Model T, by far the most popular car sold in America in the first three decades of the 20th century, cost almost $1,000 when it was first introduced in 1908. Thereafter, the Model T's cost fell every single year, so that by 1927—the year it was replaced by the more modern Model A—it cost less than $300. Ford ultimately sold more than 15 million Model T's. During the 1920s, the rate of automobile ownership increased from one car per 15 Americans to one per five.

Keep the pictures coming Rufus. Very enjoyable seeing how it was in that period of time. :D :D :D

Perhaps, partly due to traffic accidents?

Hey, is that third shot from Pen Mar? If so, any approximate date? A bunch of dapper-looking young men (probably looking to roll tourists for lunch money).

Why are we on A Few CVRR Pictures and Some Related Pictures - The Sequel? Was there a posting limit?

All 3 are Pen Mar. ~1910 given cancellation date. Indeed, one of the roving gangs that terrorized the area,

I got tired of waiting for people to clean up their mess and a lot of early portion of that thread lost its photos due to my migration away from Photobucket after they started their monthly harassment program trying to shake me down for more money.

Understood.

I left a bunch of stuff out there in Photobucket, and I see on various threads now that the link is back to working and folks can see the photo/scan (although it includes a Photobucket watermark). I've moved on to Flickr with its 1000 shot limit (free version, for now). I figure when I get close to maxing out I'll start deleting using a FIFO methodology. Figure the stuff will be so far back no one will notice/care.

Looks like a disco-ball hanging from the ceiling of the dining room.
