Thread pruning on the 3 Rail Forum

Postby Roy » Mon Aug 13, 2018 9:26 pm

Last Saturday, there were a number of posts on the "Atlas factory in China closing" thread. Later in the day, many of these posts had been deleted, including my second post. I didn't read them all, but I saw nothing that warranted deletion.

I was gone all day Saturday so I didn't see what happened. Who all posted that had their post deleted besides Roy ??

Bill usually says something if he deletes post.....

Neil had several posts deleted. I can't remember who else posted.

G3750 had two posts, and I had one, and I think Hondo had one. All deleted. They were somewhat political. May be the work of Moderator #2.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

I do not think so, way too many other threads have gone political (not to mention pornographic) and nothing has been done about them.

Here is our answer.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17806

Bill Lango the owner of MTF passed away on June 29, 2018
Lee (one of Bill's sons in law) is mod 2 and plans to keep this going

Thank you very much Lee for the information and keeping MTJ going.

Indeed. After the purge of the Atlas factory thread, I sent Bill a PM asking for an explanation. This would've been after his passing. It's good to know Lee will be continuing MTJ.

Did Bill actively moderate MTJ? If he did, he was very discreet about it. There was an instance of spam a while back, which I reported. It was quickly removed. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if Bill took a hands-off attitude towards MTJ.

It could be gone - POOF! - in an instant and our connections to one another here, conversing, ended forever , cut-off and separated to all the corners of the globe where we all reside, wherever that may be...

And again, no point speculating. Let's just wait and see. Or you can contact the FM2 and ask what we as a community can do to insure the survival of the Forum.

You're the spiritual leader. I'll wait for your good sense and wisdom to know what to do.
