Almost. No clamp. It either slides over the barrel (my photo) or with the perforated heat shield swung out of the way the coat hanger parts of the handle are used without the shield cover to lift the barrel end of the gun.

Magnolia is the identity I was looking for.

The Bigleaf magnolia has 30 inch leaves and white flowers with rose-purple at the petal bases.

The locals call this Whatzit a Cucumber tree. It's leaves are 18 inches long and the flowers are white all the way down.
