Got wood?
Conservatism: The intense fear that somewhere, somehow, someone you think is inferior is being treated as your equal.
Re: Got wood?
Real skill/artistry in that sculpture. I have a hard time just making straight cuts with a chain saw.

"Oh my," was my first reaction upon sighting the sculpture. It is beautiful!

No idea; saw it as I was cruising the net and grabbed a while back thinking it might be interesting later.

Roger,
The artist signed the piece, GR.
That is Romanian chainsaw artist Gabi Rizea. Romanian news channel 24 interviewed him.
The tree stump bucket carving is located in a children's park in Craiova, Romania.

No, but you can have an order of curly fries.

No, but you can have an order of curly fries.
Or an extra, extra large size order of Calamari

Isn't the octopus eye the first appearance in the animal kingdom of that type of eye structure?

Cephalapod eyes (aka "camera eyes") are strikingly similar to vertebrate eyes (aka a spherical organ with a lens and light sensors) but there are significant differences in the internal structure and operation, e.g. our eyes focus by distorting the lens, cephalapods focus by moving the lens within the eye structure. Cephalapods can regrow an eye while vertebrates can't (our eyes are very tightly coupled to the brain tissue).
Cephalapods have been around longer than the vertebrates so a camera eye structure did first appeared in them. While it looks and in many fashions behaves like out eye there are a lot of significant differences in detail and operation. The structural similarities are more the result of the need for a similar visual receptor than direct genetic lineage. I think all of the bilaterally symmetrical animals actually share a common master gene sequence for photo receptors.

The Nautilus and Kirk Douglass were attacked by a giant squid. John Wayne was attacked by a giant octopus in Reap the Wild Wind and The Wake of the Red Witch. In both of those movies he played a captain accused of the crime of barratry.
