I saw a piece on the news about the increasing number of refugees fleeing to Canada from the U.S. For people escaping violence, the U.S. is the new shithole.

So, join them already

Roy, all of those fleeing to Canada are illegal in this country and fear being deported back to their shithole country. They think they will be safe in Canada.

The number of asylum seekers illegally crossing the US border into Canada has tripled amid an influx of Haitians.

Apprehensions of asylum-seekers by authorities soared from 884 in June to 3,135 in July, according to government data.

Most of those contacts occurred in Quebec, where the Canadian military has constructed a camp to accommodate the volume of mostly Haitian refugees making the crossing.

Kind of looks like those HOMELESS camps in So California.

No, the piece I saw was about those in this country legally. They are refugees who were in danger in their home countries. They are afraid of being sent home by a U.S. government that doesn't care.

Ain't gonna believe that, Roy. Ya never hear of anybody dyin' at sea tryin' to get to Haiti or Cuba from the U.S.

Canada is a bit more lenient when deciding what constitutes "political asylum". Maybe even more so, now under a Trudeau again.

Why flee if your here legally? Simply show ice or ins you cards and they will leave you alone.

Watching PBS (or listening to NPR) will eventually rot your brain. You need to leaven all this by listening to Mark Levin

None of this stuff adds up or makes any sense -- like somebody trying to tell me that 1+1+1 = 7 --- must be missing information and more that's been selectively edited from both directions.....

You're only here legally, until they decide to deport you. The federal government has decided to deport many, in recent years. Those that are fleeing to Canada want to be arrested by the Canadians, so they can start their application for asylum.

Those details are well established facts although they are overwritten with alternate facts.

Hey Roy, being that California is a sanctuary state, why don't you and Gov Brown invite them to come live with you.

They will feel more at home in the warm Calif sun than they will in the very cold north country..


These people are not (Escaping The U.S.) They are deporting themselves to another country so they don't have to go back to the STINKHOLE country they came from

Which would not be necessary, if the U.S. wasn't as determined to deport so many of them. Therefore, they are escaping the U.S.
