I came across a Car & Driver article on the 24 4 cyl turbo Mustang. I had no idea, it's nearly as fast as my V8 Vega with a mildly hopped up 350 and regular small tires. 4.5 sec 0 to 60 and 13.2 at 103, Thats with the $4000 performance pack.

the science of internal combustion engines is just unbelievable these days. European car mfgs. have been extracting high horse power from smaller engines for decades, while US mfgs. always went for more cubes.....but that day is past.

The worst part of this trend is these super cars are so affordable, today's driver doesn't know how to drive them.

I have a manual garage door, it was half way up. I ducked under and unpluged my car, put something in it, and I am used to having opened the door all the way up so without thinking backed into it. Didn't hurt my new to me car at all thank goodness. I looked the door over and realised I'm going to have to have someone who knows what thet are doing fix it. It's called off track, cost me $450 + the guy talked me into new springs $300.

I do stuff like that way more than I used to. I'm starting to think ahead to protect myself from my own absentmindedness. I guess these things qualify as brain farts, but they sure get me mad at myself.
