Didn't Jon's mother-in-law do something similar with his lawn tractor? I believe he posted a photo of it.

This is a new one for me, but I don't follow tractors. Doubt it adds much to performance and most likely just for uniqueness. Sure is a nice clean installation.

UP, that is a real nice looking tractor. Most of them were sold with a 4 cylinder, but there was an optional flathead V8 that I have seen. The 289 was a transplant from a later era.

Wow! Thanks Dan, I didn't know. All I've ever seen had the 4 cylinder engine. I thought someone was doing a "Tim Taylor" to this one.

Saw one not all that far off from that at the last big Amish farm auction I attended - there were 3 tractors and a big hit & miss engine hooked up by a belt to a large cut-off saw......

They have one similar at the Carroll County Farm Museum. At the Mason Dixon Historical Society annual show, they frequently use it to power a shingle-cutter. Very cool tractor, very scary piece of gear, that shingle-cutter.

Pretty, nice to look at but taking it out for a spin through the corn field seems unlikely.

Nice tractor; it looks pretty advanced for it date of manufacture. Is "Little Oak" the model or the name of the manufacturer?
