Yes, scary stuff, yet exhilarating , with the pavement just inches away, zipping under you, unforgiving and distinctly able to flay, indeed.

I'll bet few get mounted inebriated. Hopefully.

I just did not get that exhilaration. AlI got was "why"?".

That is a self-resolving condition at this intersection.

The "why" came to me eventually. It came earlier to my wife regarding motorcycles and me. They take a different kind of power that I just don't feel I have remaining in me anymore. I guess it's another matter of different things for different times in our lives.

Hopefully the police arrested everyone in the group and took their licenses. They were all on film.

I never drove like that; in fact, I rarely (maybe twice in 3 decades) went onto the huge Interstate highways, figuring being the smallest and the most vulnerable and least protected of the travelers out there was not my idea of fun. I kept to the older 2-lane roads, taking my time and enjoying what I was seeing. Zipping by everything too fast to see stuff was not my purpose in being on a motorcycle. Aside from tours of Manhattan and of metropolitan Pittsburgh, along its suburban roadways, riding Upstate NY was my most frequent and favorite of all my trips, among the rural towns and villages, and I moved the bike to there aboard a trailer or pickup truck, rather than drive it all that way. Dirt roads among the hills up there were the best for my more casual needs.

That should indicate 2 things. One, there are a lot of idiots out there riding bikes. Two, there are a lot of idiots out there filming stuff on their phones while driving down the road.

I believe they are using Go-Pro cameras attached to their helmets. That way they can record the video and text on their cell phones at the same time.

I think that only confirms the level of idiocy being demonstrated.

I consider this to be the Motorcycle thread so I will put this here. :)

Treasure trove of Indian motorcycles found in scrapyard sold for small fortune

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Especially when that book is a scrapyard.

Kept in a locked shed around back..........not really in the scrapyard......and not like the guy did not know what he had - collector/hoarder.

Probably a lot more of these types holding "rare" stuff somewhere and odds are whatever it is will get trashed by clowns not knowing what they are tossing into a dumpster.

Rokon AB-23 Desert Ranger all-wheel drive motorcycle, from IDEX 1999:

These were purchased and kitted by Jordanian Special Forces in 2001. Rokon is still in business, and still sells a range of AWD bikes, a similar model retailing today for ~ $8400.
