Super Glue.
Right.

Rained yesterday, and all day today. Hard. Onea them new fangled "atmospheric rivers". Had a lot of those of late.

Mowing grass today; once the retrievers ran out onto the back lawn and I could no longer see them, I figured it was time :(

And we're going back to the 80's while the road crew that was milling is now putting down new asphalt......whole neighborhood has a nice layer of dust over it and now we get the lovely aroma of fresh blacktop......nobody knows why this is being done; roads here were very good; 1/2 mile away they actually need re-doing. Have to wonder who moved in,

In PA. They repave roads right before a sewer line is replaced. Nay be this is a sign of a water company project in the future.

The eastern redbuds (cercis canadensis) are at last blowing up around central Maryland and southcentral Pennsylvania:

I planted this one some twenty years ago, and I fear it's not long for this world. It lost a number of branches over the past two winters, but not due to the cold (it never got that cold again this year). No, it seems to have some sort of a borer on it that's up under the bark. I should take a chunk over to the Extension Service and see what they can tell me.

These are native trees, so I'd figured it would be pretty hardy, but maybe the lifecycle is not much more than 20 years. You don't see any that are really big, same with dogwoods, and those are in trouble too.

Three days of HSW (high-speed wipers) then much colder.

Agreed...this is right around the time I'd be giving it a first cut for the season. This year, I've already cut it four times. The good news is it'll probably be incinerated by late-July, so no cutting required.

Cut the grass here in VA twice now. Probably will need to cut the grass in PA next week.
