Are rail cars locked? They probably only have an aluminum seal. That’s something easily cut. You can’t lock a car in California then send it to New York. If i had to guess. I’d say they are hitting container trains. This story leaves out a lot of information.

Ok, but I’m not getting “Yyyy-M-C-A” out of those gestures.
(Well, the “C” “A” , maybe, but in relation to the painting , nope. )

Well, they aren't very good at it and also I suspect that taking a photo in the museum was not something appreciated or even allowed.........

Some museums allow flashless photography. If a museum owns the artwork, Generally they will allow it. If the work in on loan, you could get a major smack down. Some of them have moved into a photo friendly them. with cellphones everywhere. it is hard for them to stop all. by allowing it in some section they ease the burden of policing it.

Critical word -- "some".

Oh wait a minute! I think I just got it!
As I am falling asleep, it hit me:
The outstretched arms of the Crucified Jesus form the “Y”
and then the first lad on the left forms the “M” , etc. = YMCA !!!!!!

Good for you, Murph.
On photos in museums.
I have been to museums where I had to get a free badge to wear after signing that I would not take photos of loaned art, not use a tripod and not use a flash.
The Hunter museum in Chattanooga only asks you not to use a flash if you ask for permission to photograph.
If you don't ask and don't know, "no flash," there is a security guard in each building and on each floor. I suspect security would ask you not to use flash if your flash went off.
This is one of the paintings I saw in the Hunter Museum recently.

Re: Seen in Print
I regret I never took an Art Appreciation class but this painting appeals to me. I always like it when someone's hat flies off and someone else falls off the back of the vehicle. It shows the dynamics of the situation. However, it seems to me that the young lady should have fallen forward instead of backward if the wagon is coming to an abrupt stop. Of course a bump in the road could have caused her to fall out. Also, is that the Pied Piper just behind the locomotive? If so, why?

Help her? Perhaps less plastic affectation and some authenticity of intention and treatment of others, esp. intimates, on her part (?)
She's nauseating.
