Re: Seen in Print
Google is a modern AT&T. Like AT&T, Google acquired its dominance by purchasing many companies to extend its vertical reach over the years. Mergers and acquisitions were key to AT&T's monopoly strategy. That's why the government sought to break up the company – and that's why the US government is proposing the breakup of Google today. With AT&T, there were clear geographic lines on which the company could be broken into smaller regional companies. It's different for Google whose lines are a stack of parts of the company.
When the US Department of Justice broke up AT&T, it traded one national monopoly for regional monopolies. Will something similar happen with Google?

Executives from DuckDuckGo testified that Google's exclusive deals closed off their potential to gain market share.
What Google deals?

Re: Seen in Print
I ordered a screwdriver from Aliexpress two weeks ago.
It came today but it was not the model in the AliExpress picture.
So I called the problem desk and spoke to Eva, et al.
I told Eva, "Você enviou a chave de fenda errada!"
Eva transferred me to Brijj.
I told Brijj, "Você enviou a chave de fenda errada!"
Brijj transferred me to Ali.
I told Ali, "Você enviou a chave de fenda errada!"
Ali transferred me to Anna.
I told Anna, "Você enviou a chave de fenda errada!"
Anna transferred me to a survey on how I liked the AI service department.
I commented on the survey, "Eu não falo português!"
I don't think AliExpress's AI service department is very swift in understanding Portuguese.

Does anyone else see advertisements like this on their computer screen?
It is not Hyundai's new Santa Fe Suv.

Re: Seen in Print
Wow! That is a very interesting and beautiful car. I'm amazed no major builder hasn't picked it up, unless they're afraid of the diesel connection. The cars borrows from many successful designs in the past (including the 1963 Corvette split window coupe and the batmobile) and with that power fits in well with today's overpowered transportation.
Back in 2005 the 0-60 in 3.0 or less made it one of if not the fastest times of a factory stock car. No particulars on handling so it might be a real bugger.

The date might be wrong. I got the date from Train Orders. https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/ ... 10,2549956
Trains magazine says the flooding occurred in 1986. https://www.trains.com/trn/news-reviews ... nt-july-9/

We saw it in 2015 and it was all cleaned up. No rust for sure.

Seven CSX locomotives.
Southern Pacific used to run seven locomotives between Demming and Tucson, hoping that enough would remain operational to get over the continental divide. It was common to see at least one locomotive blowing smoke and fire out the exhaust whenever I was driving on the highway that runs alongside the track.

The closest to me is Piggott, Kansas, a 5 hour, 30 minute drive.
I think I will just watch it go by on YouTube.

Re: Seen in Print
I've never seen it in action and at this point it certainly is a once in a lifetime experience. Muskogee is only 2+ hours from OKC, so maybe this is the time to see it.
