That's funny. If every lobbyist was shot, we'd have a better country for sure. The harm they do is epic.

Many countries offer subsidies to their railways because of the social and economic benefits that it brings.

Rail subsidies are largest in China ($130 billion), Europe (€73 billion) and India ($35.8 billion), while the United States has relatively small subsidies ( $1.4 billion) for Amtrak passenger rail with freight not subsidized.

Freight not subsidized?

According to lobbying expense reports submitted to Congress, Norfolk Southern spent more than $2 million lobbying at the federal level in 2022. If not for subsidy money, then what?

Railroads get a $3,500 a mile tax credit for owned/leased track. Feds might have something to do with railroad pensions. Congress tossed rail workers under the bus last year. States fund rail . Pa Gov. shapiro is asking the general assembly to give $262. Million for SEPTA. (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) NJ. Funds light rail. Trent-Newark-Camden.

Yuck, gregj410! That reminds me of the time our dogs found a dead coyote and played tug of war with it. Then they proudly ran around with a piece in their mouths.

I noticed you used imgbb to host the Easter poster. I gave imgbb a try for this image of a fine use of extension rings.

imgbb is certainly easy to use. :D

Yes! I fully agree Wayne. Once in a while the topic of posting pics comes up around here and, well, it’s so easy even a caveman can do it. I think the problem is I am posting from my smart phone where most here are posting from a pc. It is very simple with imgbb and free too!
