To some, it , likely, is a powerhouse.

No chimney? I guess the fired up sermons kept the congregation warm on cold days.

I've enjoyed the humorous discussion thus far. There must be a chimney on the backside of the building in the first photo for I see a stove inside in the second photo that has a smoke pipe reaching towards the ceiling. :)

I saw that but wasn't sure what it was, eye problems. However looking at the two cards it would seem that a pipe for a stove would be on the right side of the photo.

Nope; back wall - parallels window placement of front wall.

Still that's a small stove for that size of room,

You're saying the long wall is the front? If so that would put the stack on the unseen side of the roof.

No. Other wall is what I'm calling the front to just for orientation purposes -- 2 window, a door, 1 window. Opposite wall would have 2 windows, pulpit, and a window. That would be the other wall you cannot see in the card that would have the stove pipe exiting out.

OK. I'll agree with that.

Hmmm, why would "PLATES DESTROYED" be shown on the card? I have never seen that on a postcard before. Unless maybe it was a file copy retained by the publisher? Food for thought.

Indeed and in part what caught my eye about this card.
