Time for Church
Re: Time for Church
Gotta love the architectural ingenuity of the design and the stonework of that one.

Lot of cut stone went into that one; getting stone work done today is next to a lost art form.
My grandfather taught me how to cut stone/slate with a hammer and chisels, but I do this so rarely that I'm not any good at it.

Yes, indeed. There seems to be something desperately serious, for him, about his view from inside his situation/assignment, including the set of his jaw (?)

Seems like a cheerless tomb. I’ve never seen anything like the building on the right of the photo presented as a sanctuary for worship . There’s something off-putting about it.

Yes, but even they seemed far more open to sun and light.
Re: Time for Church
Could be a bank or the library. Rather droll.

Better suited to either, but the card is labeled as the Unitarian Church and Chapel.....and it's still there. 346 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA
