Artist's concept of things described in the bible fascinate me.

What the Bible says:
Genesis 3:24 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)
24 He drove out the man; and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

What the unknown artist envisions:

Now back to thread drift... where did Adam and Eve get those clothes they are wearing?
Stitched them from deer hide...see other thread

OK, I'll buy that, but where did they get them? No JC Penneys back then. Can you name the tailor?

Something about this thread reminded of a 60 minutes interview wherein the subject said "If'n you ain't takin up pizenous serpents and dancin' with 'em you ain't worshippin' proper. It says so in the Bibul."

I saw that NOVA program too. The computer graphics could have been better. The interweaving of the science of black holes and how we found out what we now think we know was excellent.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Musta been one of those cults that drinks strychnine and handles snakes.

A few times while watching the Black Hole show I actually understood what they were saying!!! But when they start talking of something happening 200 Billion Light Years away I wonder, At what point does it matter?

The fact that we have detected something that far away is an amazing feat, also makes me wonder how much of it was science and how much was dumb luck?

300 years ago they would have burned astrophysicists at the stake.

Can you imagine what Stephen Hawking would have/could have done if he had been without the affects of ALS?

I wonder what his take is on angels???

Question: Where did Adam and Eve get those clothes they are wearing?
Answer: And the Lord God made garments of skins for the man and for his wife, and clothed them.

"Willful Apple Eaters, LLC" They have a storefront right on 42nd Street (of course!)

Or, considering your Genesis footnote, how 'bout, "Yahweh's Yardgoods" ?

Most likely from the censors of art, back in the (good ole) day.

And Adam returned on Thursday as the second pair of pants were not ready on Tuesday and the vest had to be let out a bit as he had been putting on weight. And the clothes did fit and the people did cheer and rejoice, and so did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ...while the Lord did grin.

Congratulations, Murphy, that's much better than the Sacks Fifth Avenue I would have come up with!
Take care,
