Meanwhile, amongst Biden's first executive orders is to provide more food for those relying on federal programs and increasing the minimum wage for those who are still employed but below the poverty line. Nothing most Republicans would worry about since they are mostly concerned with protecting the very wealthy from any financial responsibility to the society in which they have earned their wealth. The Democrats have socially responsible convictions and the Republicans are mostly in favor of profitable evictions :).

Funny. The same folks railing against transgender athletes with this sort of silliness have done all they could to obstruct all women's sports. Drop it into the bucket with the rest of their hatred of everyone not like themselves.

So I take it you think it is fair for boys and men to compete against the girls and women that won't stand much of a chance to win anything. Like the one in the picture that always wins. The problem is he is not good enough to race against the men.

What would be wrong with a transgender class for sports? How will it work with college scholarship? My local distract has over 60 students in transition faze. My wife mentioned this last year when she drove a school bus. These kids all receive a private bus ride to school. There could be more kids. she only knows the number that request a private ride. 18,224 student are in our school district.

The wealthy don't need the republicans to protect them. They pay high priced lawyers that went to those elite colleges on the east coast to do that.

You didn't see the republicans doing anything for all the rich tech companies and their owners. In fact they put their money on Biden to help them.

Always making it something it isn’t. Has nothing to do with railing against Transgender athletes. It has to do with the mere fact that men are stronger than woman by nature.

Throughout the last year parents in philly have struggled feeding their kids. Most kids eat 3 meals a day in school. With school closed they have not received any meals. A push to open school cafeterias was delayed. Unions and red tape BS. Finally some civic groups and the city health dept. got things moving. Making the food was not the biggest hurdle to jump. Getting it the kids was. I'm not sure it ever got up to 100 percent. A lot of street corners have people stationed there to hand out box lunches. during the spring shutdown i took a truck of food down to philly. It was a large donation from a private food larder in my area. I believe it was collected from Giant grocery stores customers with a matched donation from giant. I had to argue for an hour to get them to take the food. I did the delivery to help out an organization in a pinch. There is so much red tape in donating food to Philadelphia's system. You can't just leave it with a group in need. It has to be divided up by Philabundance.

Due to some home responsibilities I have just got to this topic. WOW!.
I probably should just stay out of this, I don't have anything useful to add. But as I often do this will most likely ramble a bit.
Trump was one of those well known persons that was hated or liked most of his life and that will not change. That he was not a typical politician is also part of that.
When reading this topic it is sometimes hard to understand some comments unless you look to see who wrote what. Ther e are often references to they, them, etc and it leads to some head scratching.
I am at that point of not knowing what or who to believe, actually have been there for some time, and am not smart enough to sort it out.
I sincerly hope that our country and our forum can overcome the dissension we have seen recently and can live together in a civil manner.

Trump gave them jobs, Biden will give them food stamps.

So did ours BUT you can't get to the Kiosks as you aren't allowed in the store. Even pick up is through the drive through window.

The number of "cashiers" has been dropping steadily BUT the number of employees in most of the stores has actually increased. They have more people running around doing "remote" shopping and/or restocking. It used to be restock was in "off hours", that's now reserved for cleaning. Biggest hits in retail have been in dine in. No need for waiters if there isn't any dine-in.

I've noticed the same things mentioned byu Chuck in thing area.

One thing I have never understood is how do you legislate people out of the pverty level?
The people at the bottom of the income no matter what it is are still the poor people.
If mymiddle income doesn't rise and the lower income does won't I soon become part of the lower income group?

That's always been the plan, Roger.

Most of the stores by me can't get employees. Mom and dad wont let their kids work. @ $12,00 an hour for 30 hours a week during the day. You wont see many takers. We have twin sisters in town. They started a job with instacart. shopping for people. These 2 are making over $500 a day. Time will tell what their car expenses add up to.

W/o any benefits of any kind too probably - not worth all the complications. 40 hours & benefits - probably, good.

Car costs are a business expense; document it all and write it all off.
