That damn Dutch beer just went to 14.99 a 12. What are you lads paying? I was paying 11-something. I bought an 18 of Labatts. That runs 12-something.

Hev, I recognize that maple tree. Love the grill. Can't build a fire like that in a charcoal burner!

That's also the first time I could smell chicken and burgers from a picture!! Now you got me salivating on my keyboard.

I just cracked open my first beer of the day with lunch. A Blue Moon. It has a sweet taste to it, then hops come through nicely after you've swallowed it.
I'm not big on buying Heiny down here, I'm sure it's well out of date and pricey for the South.
I'm on Chapter 6 of your novel and have enjoyed every page!! I hope the son goes down for a nap so I can continue!!!!

Tramp, do you have Schooner available in Maine? Ever tried it? I used to touch on that when I had to lay over in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. I thought it was decent.

Mitch, Schooner used to be available in Maine. No longer, sadly. It's still in NB, which happens to be where my father was born.

Great name for a beer. I have many fond memories of it. Thanks for reminding me.

I think the life cycle is all backwards

You should start out dead and get it out of the way.

Then, you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.

You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension, then when you
start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get ready for
High School.

You go to primary school, you become a kid , you play, you have no
responsibilities, you become a baby, and then...

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like
conditions; central heating, room service on tap, larger quarters every day, and
then, you finish off as an orgasm.

I rest my case.

You hobos are a damn fine bunch. On my way home from provisioning with some decent St. Pauli Girl, I stopped by the office. Seems our project's Boulder team had seen fit to send a case of "Fat Tire Amber Ale" from "New Belgium". Arrived Friday evening after I had left and begun my disgrace with the Coronas. Now when a hobo gets provisioned by the "others', he takes notice. So there I was with a case of St. Pauli Girl and a case of Fat Tire, and a headache from the Coronas. Yes, Tramp, they are both fresh brewings. What to do, what do do? A fine pilsner or an amber? Outside of work (what happened to "Labor Day"?) and domestic duties, been on bike or out in the water, so have not had much of a chance to indulge, but life is good.

Pete, darn fine pic of you and the lad with your varmint. I just laid new sod in the front and before I could get some liquid fence on it, the coney's were at it. Took out five of them with the Gamo, and pitched their carcasses into the perimeter on the preserve adjointing the property as a warning to their confederates. Elmer Fudd wins. This time.

Back to the old grind, fella's. It was a great weekend while it lasted.

Tramp, San Pablo was as far as the 4-8-4 got on Labor Day weekend.

Not much of a journey.

San, I enjoyed the heck out of that Fat Tire in Wyoming!! Enjoy!!
