Nothing the republicans can do in the house of reps with Nancy in control. It's the democrats turn to be the obstructionist now.

The republican's in the senate are approving many new constitutional judges to replace the liberal activist judges.

You listen to the snippets on the news from the 24 'Crats supposedly running for president. They're not running for anything. They're running against Trump. They have no agenda whatsoever. They're campaigning strictly as the enemy of President Trump. Watch them. See if they tell you about how they are going to stop the invasion of illegals from pouring over the border, (most all want open borders). See if they have a plan for medical insurance without going single payer and causing 150 million people to lose their private health care. Ask them why their party, with a majority in the house, has not sent an infrastructure bill to the president for his signature. Ask them why they declare sanctuary cities and even states, refusing to give up illegals, (even criminal illegals), in defiance of federal law. The list goes on and those folks who predicted that there would be endless investigations after 4 congressional committees and the Mueller report completed by a host of democrat pro-Hillary lawyers/investigators found no collusion and no obstruction, will be proven correct. The 'Crats are sore losers. I wish they'd just take their ball and go home.

I'm still waiting for Republicans to do anything to help anyone but the worst of the 1%. The ones who want to pay no taxes, and have no regulatory laws whatsoever. Please don't lump Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, the Kennedy brothers, Nelson Rockefeller, Warren Buffet, and the Gates in with the God damned psychopathic rich. These folks, and many others, have proven that capitalism can work for everyone. Not, that it ever fully has, and it certainly has been undermined by Republicans since Reagan.

These folks were not saints nor entirely pure of heart throughout their lives. Some have managed to earn some redemption; some could do a lot more.

Sadly, the folks that need the most help keep thinking that the republicans are going to help them out and think that it's the democrats obstructing things - what they don't get is that neither party really cares and both lie endlessly. Pointing fingers and assigning blame does nothing. Getting rid of these people might help, but then what happens/happened is that we get even less competent folks that have no idea how to get anything done that get totally corrupted by money and lobbyists. Downward the spiral goes....

To people hastened in performing something, present-day Romans say: “no hurry bro, Rome wasn’t built in one day!”. True, as officially Rome was founded the year 753 BC. Originally, it was a small village built by the Etruscans on the Tiberine Island, then it expanded over time, becoming home of 2 mn. inhabitants at the end of 300 CE. Hence it took more than 1,000 years to build Rome. Consider also the fact that each emperor was allowed by the Senate to construct his own residency, thereby progressively extending urbanization many miles far from the center city. It took only few decades after the Sack of Rome (410 CE) to fall down to pieces, ravaged by Romans who discovered they could vote money from the public coffers.

The United States will follow the same path.

Yes, most if not all of these people have powerful friends and many are mere puppets. Has anyone ever gone to DC, as an elected official and retired with less $$$ than when they went? The Dems are no better or worst than the Reps, they just do a better job of fooling poor people.

While I don't think much of her ideas for our country, I do give this woman a lot of credit for getting elected to the house.

She did defeat a long time entrenched (swamp person) democrat who a lot of them thought would be the next speaker of the house. She became a liberal media darling and has gathered a lot of support in the house. Who knows, maybe she will displace Nancy Pelosi as speaker.

Most of the democrats that are running are using her green new deal proposals. If she were 35 I think the liberal media would be running her for president.

Actually, yes. Some in Congress right now are in the red - tells you a lot right there about the quality of people that get elected - how are they supposed to the run the country when they cannot manage their own personal budgets

I'd argue it might be the exact reverse. Might look at a correlation between ave. income and color of state. Last I looked at this it said nothing good about Reps.

"draining the swamp" now you know for a fact that it does not matter if the democrats or republican are in charge. The swamp will never be drained.

It was never a credible claim, yet voters believed the lie. The people that were brought in were cronies, political hacks, and the personification of insiders, and some should have ended up in jail.
