Is that what happens to "fake news", it becomes fake history?

Whoever is in charge gets to write history; the rest becomes mythology.

..................and then legend. :D And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. And for two and half hundred years we struggled to know the truth.

It's been re-written since day 1. Count on it.

I am sure we would all be much better off if we had stayed under British Rule. But then we might be doing the goose step if that had happened.

Might want to review "The Man in the High Castle"....

A fictional novel about multiple alternative realities. I would rather just drink a good beer and watch Groucho Marx you bet your life. "Tell 'em Groucho sent you"

That's also a TV series now.....and relevant to your above comment regarding the goose step. Then again, reading......so challenging to encounter original ideas and thoughts......bad luck there for so many. Never mind.

Rufus. I know there is a TV series about the book "The Man in the High Castle" but I haven't watched TV in 7 or 8 years. And I know it's about the Germans and the Japaneses winning and taking over the world after WW2, thus your response to my comment about us doing the goose step. It just seems to far fetched for me to dive into it. Maybe sometime in the future...

I remember reading it and all of the rest of Philip K. Dick's works that the high school library had available; I've lost track of how many of his books and stories have been made into movies (and TV shows) now long after his death. I wonder what author might hold that record even..........

That's a huge leap to make from my snarky statement. I am sure we would not be better off under British rule, and considering how many parts of the commonwealth are still under British rule, I doubt we would be. Nonetheless, I stand by my original statement, and no more.
