Royal Enfield
Re: Royal Enfield
Back to H.d. Their problems are bigger then a tariff. Every guy from the Rolex crowd wanted a Harley. In 2008-2010 they had a waiting list to buy one. If your name was called you had a natural resource. Buy that bike and push it out of the dealership to a wanting fool. Guys were banning $5000-7000 flipping their new Harley. American choppers was hot and Harley-Davidson was hotter. Now every other garage is filled with a low mileage harley. Craig’s list is filled with hardly ridden harleys. Some of them even stored in living rooms. (Of the unmarried guys) with all that good used product out there Harley will have a hell of a time selling a new $25,000 bike. They failed to change. Now they’re just an oversized over chromed dildo.
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

Love your choice of words..
Re: Royal Enfield
Has anybody ever seen a professional review of RE from an initial quality standpoint? I’m guessing it’s less than stellar. The bikes seem too inexpensive.

I figure this is the motorcycle thread so I will post this here.
Harley-Davidson reveals its first electric, adventure and streetfighter motorcycles

Harley-Davidson is planning to overhaul its lineup radically in the coming years in an effort to turn around its declining sales.
Along with new small-displacement bikes aimed at foreign markets, the company has unveiled three motorcycles for segments that the brand has never ventured into before.

I'm looking forward to a tricycle that I can pedal around the block w/o hurting myself.

Re: Royal Enfield
Had a Harley once...or part of one. A 125CC "Hummer", engine and trans, fitted to a homemade off-road go-kart using old light aircraft wheels and an unending supply of worn tires from the local airfield.
But then went to a 67 BSA Hornet, twin racer..twin Amals...magneto...got to 30 before the second cylinder started firing....
Then my last big bike as a Yamaha 650. Rode a Yamaha 500 single in Colombia. Still have my licensed as 1970 Honda CL-175 in the shed.

Healey, I agree with you on that one, but I would be concerned about some idiot texting or putting on makeup or whatever running over my elderly arse. If I had a good place to ride it, it would be way kool!

I'm with you there. All I can think of is the guy on "Laugh In" pedaling the tricycle and falling over!

This it what the OLD people in the retirement communities ride around on.
And no I don't have one. I have a mountain type bike that I use.
