Jon, you going to be at Fort Indiantown Gap? I'm exactly 100 miles from there, and if you're riding in on a boxcar from the south, I'd like to ride a cement car down from the north and see if we can't find each other outside some freight yard.
Hell, there's a bunch of Pennsylvania hobos might like to converge, if the word gets out. Hev's pretty close, maybe Mitch, Willy, and there's a couple over by Philly.
You happen to have the dates pinned down?
I ain't getting in any drinking contests, gotta tell you now. That'd be a fool's errand on my part!
I'd be damn proud to hoist a beer with you though. 8) I'll be bringing my tin cup, too. Only got to christen it with one other hobo so far.

Pete, That would be a bonifide honor!! :D :D I'll email you the details and my cell phone number. I'm hoping I'll get the middle weekend off, and possibly a rent-a-wreck, 'cause I hear this base in in the middle of nowhere!! But you can bet I'll bring my cup just in case!!
The wife says I can't bring my lump of coal, though. It has to stay underneath my pillow.

Four? Add the temp. Hey, but you'll be one amazing steamer richer. At least I hope.

Whippets? I don't see no whippets.

One of my best pals (27 years) died last night. Raise a glass if you can.

I turned on both my Stroh's neon and my Ballantine's neon in his memory.

Sorry for the sad news. Here's a farewell toast from down South.

Some of you may be interested in an article in the May issue of Trains on page 66 titled "the needle in Proviso's haystack". It's about one of your favorite topics. :) :)
