Biden had been in Washington for over 40 years between the Senate and being Vice-President. Positions that he had previously taken on Marriage, Abortion, Anita Hill, Segregation, Illegal Immigration, Coal, Firearms, etc. are no longer palatable to the Sanders/Warren/AOC wing of the Democrat party, hence the flip flops in order to get elected.

The man has absolutely no principles or moral compass whatsoever. he changes his positions almost daily depending on what other candidates say and what he perceives will help his candidacy. If you go back and look at his previous speeches he has contradicted everything he has ever said. But then again he's never said anything in these speeches that is not scripted by someone else because he's not capable of independent thought. Every time he does say something spontaneously he puts his foot in his mouth. He has insulted virtually every ethnic every religious and every gender possibility at some time. if you ever listen to him speak when he is not scripted you would think that he is senile but the problem is that he has been speaking like this for the last 35 years. in a field of liars and phonies Joe is at the top. Maybe that explains why he is at the top of their poll as well.

Joe Biden is a true politician. He will change his mind about anything that will gain him more votes!

They all will say & do whatever gets them more votes - neither party is immune to scamming and lying to get votes.

I tend to agree.
I wonder what would happen to one of the MTJ forum posters, Rufus, Hondo, Murph, Rogruth, etc., were elected to Congress? We all seem to have
rather strong opinions about many things. I wonder how long it would take for us to "fit in" to the accepted ways of doing business? Rufus has probably
contended with more government stuff than some of us. Remember that I don't know what most of you do/did and there may be many of you with
government experience. I was an instrumental music teacher ( although I taught all types of music in my career } and often had strong differences with administrators. I was outspoken and did not worry about my job. The kids came first. I don't think I would be a good politician. I do not know, however, what I would do if offered certain incentives for certain benefits to certain groups. Most of us never have that opportunity. Would I stand by my promises or would I go with the party or the flow?
We are often quick to criticize but often have little background in the program.

Questioning a hairdo and pointing out a dewlap gets me named sphincter-club-worthy . And "1stClass" no less. Wow. Imagine if I had questioned or triffled with something substantive and not silly.

An interesting perspective which speaks volumes.

P.S. The hairdo is symbolic of something bigger, broader, deeper, and far more troubling than a need for a barber. (imHo)

Looking at the President on the tube while he was attending the D-Day Memorial, he seems to be looking much better. Considerably leaner, and with a new, much better fitting suit, (probably about 6 grand  ), hair groomed, he looked good standing along side the Queen & Prince Charles. No matter what ya think of him, he's doing what's right for the country long term.

Sarge, on the subject of euthanasia, you hit the nail on the head when you said "for those who so choose", but my fear would be that there will be those in government who will want control and the order will come down to terminate those who are costing too much money, particularly those who are on Medicare. They have no problem puttin' people on the government teat, but if they aren't productive, then eliminate them and the expense. If they think nothing of a baby and are willing to allow them killed right up to the time of birth, I'd think they'd have no problem whackin' the elderly or the infirm. JMHO.

Not at all, Roger. I was replying to the remark by Rex which included me as part of a group he gave a derogatory label to.

You're right. I just now saw news-footage of him alighting from the Air Force One helicopter, wearing a blue suit, buttoned, with good draping (no struggling button), and no tie . He did look fit, trim and younger. Bravo! Indeed.

I also am impressed that he waits for his wife to walk with him at the appropriate times, even holds her hand.
I find it interesting that Mrs. Trump is almost completely ignored by the press.

Geeze! You could have at least included a "smiley" when making such an asinine statement!

The main stream media has tortured her endlessly. They bitch about everything she does from the clothes she wears to different events to the way she talks, even though they know that English is not her first language. She actually speaks 5 languages, but no where in the history of this country has a 1st Lady received such criticism. It's all part of the "Hate Trump" crowd, of which 97% of the media is a part.

Not by the liberal hate Trump media. That's all they have 24/7. No journalist any longer, just political hacks.

They put all their eggs in one basket. Collusion and treason, came up empty handed. The anti- Trump Mueller and the 19 anti- Trump democrats he hired with 2 years and 25 million spent couldn't come up with anything.

But that hasn't stopped the democrats. They are going to proceed with impeachment. Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't want to see the president impeached, she wants to see him in prison. Should be interesting to see what she comes up with to convict.

Impeachment will keep the democrats occupied until the election with their do nothing agenda to help the American people.

But they might be able to make obstruction charges stick. If anyone other than a sitting president, that would be a given.

Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't want to see the president impeached, she wants to see him in prison. Should be interesting to see what she comes up with to convict.[/quote]

She doesn't handle that nor does Congress; she 's actually doing something interesting and trying to avoid going after a sitting president as surviving such will only enhance Trunmp's standing. She's waiting until he's out of office and then it off her plate. Problem is that too many others wnat to force through impeachment. She might not be able to stop it from going forward - she knows what a mistake that will be.

Impeachment will keep the democrats occupied until the election with their do nothing agenda to help the American people.

I'm still waiting for the republicans to do something to help anyone but the 1%.
