Stove top has knobs grouped left & right and labeled front & back.  Pretty hard to get confused by that arrangement or information.  Light comes on when the burner is on and stays on to indicate it's still hot.

Yes they are labeled. On my new stove they are in the same location as the old stove. But the correspond with a different burner. When I go by memory and turn a knob it’s the wrong one

I would submit the opinion that Angel-of-the-Crotch-Grab is a far different character than the Angel-of-the-Mysterious-Look.
