What's happening to large cities

The original framers fore saw this trend in Humanities lack of. I believe they provided for a way constitutionally remove the overly dominant pigs to be replaced from the trough. This all requires the effort of those governed. The true power of democracy lies in the people and some are just starting to flex their muscle. I pray it stays civil.

Yes. Per 100k.....and that is in some ways more disturbing. Thought Charm City had dropped far lower.

To a great extent in Baltimore, and a lot of other cities, it's bad guys killing bad guys or those unfortunate to be their associates. Its the collateral damage that's really tragic.

Don't venture in. Every summer i do an antique show in Baltimore's convention center. Each year i walk from the CC. to the railroad museum. Most of the guys i work with think i'm nuts for walking. It seems safe. Every morning while i'm there i walk up to a mart for coffee donuts and some fresh roasted peanuts. I can see if your 70 years old you may not feel safe. It's like you said thug on thug crime

I visited the B&O Museum thirty years ago and was a little surprised at the area. We stayed at a motel/hotel, don't really remember exactly where or what. that had a chain link fence around it thatmust have been 10' high. We were able to drive a short distance to the museum and park next to the door.
I'm sure that has all changed by now. As much as I would like I will never be able to visit it again. It becomes more difficult for us to go anywhere.

Kind of like fighting ergot disease. A towns population goes crazy from eating fungi filled bread and beer. In comes the army to remove a crazy population. Once victorious the army celebrates with bread and beer taken from the town. Only to go crazy with more guns and better training.

I'm sure there are obvious answers but it's early yet and what little is left isn't up to speed yet but why doesn't the good stuff just leave these messed
up places? Most auto business has left Detroit,it seems. Other businesses seem to be moving around also. Some of the bad would follow but not all.
Oh, don't let Washington D.C. move.

I attend conventions in Baltimore at the same locale and also make that same walk to the B&O Museum with my wife. Last time was a few weeks right after the rioting. Totally quiet and nothing untoward.

Missionaries do make good stew, but you have to par boil them for hours to get them to relax.
