That is brilliant Jon! Thank you for posting. Does it have a name?

I see you have a fine understanding of quantum principles. Your play demonstrates admirably that we can be here or we can be there, we can even be both places at once, but we can never be in-between. You even threw in the Pauli Exclusion Principle, i.e., no one else can be in our space at the same time we are there. The witches are going to have a hell of a time meeting again. Maybe they can meet on MTJ and not have to physically travel to one place.

I hope the third witch makes it to the man with two slit diffraction, her only hope of getting her photons back together again.

How can I be in two places at once, when I'm not anywhere at all?

Fellow hobos,
I’d like to take a moment to speak to you all professionally.
As many of you know, I’m a nurse in a regional trauma center. I work on a psychiatric unit, taking care of the sad, the dispossessed, the lonely, the fearful. But regardless, many of my patients are medically compromised, and for that reason, our care requires a strong medical focus.
This winter, there is an especially strong flu strain wreaking havoc in Asia, and officials from the Center for Disease Control are recommending that Americans take advantage of a flu vaccine, if it is available in your area. The government is trying to ramp up efforts to increase production so it can be available to everyone.
So in an effort to stimulate your efforts to acquire this vaccine and take proper precautions to avoid catching this virus, I’d like to quote this latest sobering warning from the CDC:

Atlanta: Center for Disease Control

Never kiss your honey
when your nose is runny.
You may think it’s funny,
but it’s snot.

Now, that said, I can go back to trying to shoo out of our nurses station, the old lady who just walked in, announced that the building was about to collapse, dropped her pants to her ankles, and sat herself down.

Speaking of the hospital...

We have a cardiologist named Dr. Butcher, who should have been a surgeon,
we had a dermatologist named Dr. Dickey, who should have been in urology,
and we have an orthopedist named Dr. Bush, who should have been in ....

well, you figure it out.

Pete,

Have you ever been at work and started thinking about your trains? That is being in two places at once.

Have you ever been drinking and some event causes you to be sober? That is being in two places at once.

Do you have a patient that sometimes is lucid? That is not being in two places at once. (It is the other place for the patient.) But are there not times when they are in both places?

You state, "I'm not anywhere at all." A place many of visit on occasion. And yet, you are here in the MTJ Forum reading this. That is being in two places at once.

Jon, she's getting there. She took a hell of a shot. Had one more trip back to the hospital to take another quart of fluid out of her chest, which took care of most of her pain. She's taking walks out to the barn, and if I were a betting man, she'll be back on that horse in the Spring.
She's wifty, which could be from the head smack, but then, she was wifty before the accident.
If you don't believe me, wait 'til you meet her daughter.

Guys, I need your pity. The school year is on, and we've been getting 20-something nursing-school babes....uh, students, 7 to 8 at a pop on successive days of the week, from Bloomsburg University, Penn College of Technology, and Thomas Jefferson University.
As if I didn't have enough to do, I have to take TIME out of my BUSY DAY to give these lithesome long-haired doe-eyed bab... students some one-on-one help in understanding psychiatric nursing.

I know you feel my pain.

Pete,

There you go trying to be in two places at once.
1) Taking care of your patient's with their pants down.
2) Taking time to give lithesome long-haired doe-eyed bab... students some one-on-one help in understanding psychiatric nursing.

You poor guy.

Guess you got me, Wayne!
(Actually, that was the name of one of the albums of the Firesign Theater)

Jon, can't get you in as an 'observer', but we could try, probably without it being too much of a stretch, () to get you in as a patient. Problem is, you might have some trouble getting out. It's the Hotel California for certain people.

Gonna need you to sign a waiver, however.

Pete, LMAO!!! I remember those Firesign Theater Albums!!!!
And to Porgie's trial. Porgie admits that he doesn't have any friends at Commie Martyrs. In fact, nobody's ever seen anybody from there. And now there's no room because it's all filled up with More Science, (You may now ask yourself: How can you be in two places at once when you're not anyplace at all?) And the kids, it develops, are all in Korea. And Porgie discovers he's been lied to. "Say," he asks, "whose movie is this?" "This is no movie, this is real."

Lt. Tirebiter asks, "Which reel?"

And with his sage advice ...

I can say no more.

Now that they're both gone... Go, White Sox!

There's going to be an auction of one of Shoeless Joe's dark-brown hickory bats, by Sothebys, soon. Wonder what that will fetch?

Where's JB these days? Miss that woman.
