What a nice way of putting it, about the pleasant weather many of us are having this time of year. Up here in the NE, we could easily be battling heavy snows as we do our shopping, but instead we have clear sailing.

And as far as your sincerity is concerned, I am sure all of us here perceive you as a very sincere person.

Nev - Thanks for the pics. It's interesting that "Powered by Ford" is embossed on the valve cover.

Is Holden still in business? GM was selling a Holden model in the US at the Pontiac GTO, but that all ended with GM's collapse and regroup. The car, like most Australian V8's, was a beast (I am told). The Pontiac brand was taken dormant...did Holden survive as a GM subsidiary? Vauxhall and Opel did, but just barely.

I seem to recall a few years back Chrysler-Jeep sued GM for the perceived replication of the Jeep's grille on the Hummer line. It would seem to me that Aston Martin would have a similar gripe with Ford.

Healey

(Edit :: Ford retains an 8% interest in Aston Martin, so that must be their angle.)

Agree, agree, disagree, disagree. It is a weight distribution thing.

Just to clear things up, they both are supercharged so no waiting for things to spool up.

Don't be surprised if the v8 was detunned. I test drove a supercharged mustang that had no get up and go. When i spoke with the salesman about the lack of power he said. " we don't allow the computer to advance the timing until it is sold."

I think the problem is the site is full of photos. Expect a purge soon, then the site will be fast again.
Don't worry if your photos go with the purge, I have already seen them and saved the ones I liked.
The time between purges to make room for more posts would be longer if we would all use a photo hosting site instead of posting photos in MTJ storage.
Out photos posted directly from our computers to this site take up a huge amount of storage space.
When it happens (the purge) there is always a lot of complaining. I think complainers are ignorant.

I don't normally post on car threads anymore having spent half my life around fast cars I'm now out of it all.
That Falcon throws you back in the seat it's fast almost as fast as my little roadster that I once had my son lets me push the Falcon now and again.
The Holden is raced about every fortnight on a race track for young blokes it's driven everyday on the street. There are three tracks it's to try and stop street racing it works and it's great for them.

Remember that I am almost computer illiterate.

Would someone explain the "cloud" to me and what it is used for?

I guess this is off topic but bring it up because of the mention
above concerning photo size and purging.
If it would be better to explain elsewhere or if there is someplace
to find out let me know.
Still trying to learn but might be too dense.

Ooooh, look at those torque numbers and 0-60 times.

You could be right; I'll never know for sure, given those MSRPs- Grin!

I thought I was having a computer problem; getting on here has been a crapshoot for me too.

Well how about we delete our own photos in .....say a month after posting.
Tell me how to do it and I will go back through all the photos that I have posted and anything over a month I will delete them myself.
No worries, no whinging, no problems.
Tell me how you delete them.
I used to do it on the yahoo sites all the time of course you got messages, "I never saw the photo why delete it" and the favourite one: "Neville has spat the dummy and deleted all his photos"
Which was utter bullshit, I was just trying to free the site up for other posters nothing more than that.
If I had to go back to another photo storage site like Imageshack or similar I would just forget about the whole thing and collect railway stamps in my spare time.
