I can still hear the nuns:
"Cleanliness is next to Godliness"
Maybe they were brewing beer over there in that convent.
Never heard them bitchin' about insufficient wort aeration, though.
(But I always wondered what exactly DID go on in that convent. Weirder than I could imagine, I'll bet.)
I feel for you, Jon. Hey, "If at first you don't succeed...", and all that. Give 'er another try.
After all, beer is important.

The Nuns were taking thier morning showers. The "Nunery" (or convent) ha d acommunity shower type set up and there are a dozen naked nuns soaping up.
All of a sudden, the doorbell rings.
Panic.
THe nuns scamper around and Mother Superior announces "Don't be concerned, it's only the blind man. Sister Mary Frances - just go answer the door."
With that Sr Mary Frances prances down the hall naked and opens the door.
"Mornin' Lady, I'm here to install your blinds!"

LOL! Me neither, San.
No Julie-Andrews-look-alike novitiates where I went to school. Most were built like minor-league defensive tackles, only uglier. And meaner.
I only wondered what the hell they did with their lives, besides being foisted on us poor grammer-school kids. Teach and pray, pray and teach?
But, if they were secretly brewing beer over there, grumbling about acetaldehyde and infected worts, we got a whole new ballgame!
And maybe they weren't singing "the hills are aliiiive, with the sound of muuuusic...", but rather "Ai-yi-yi-yi, I'd rather get laid than get eaten...".

I was surprised that San didn't want dibs.
But this leads to more questions. Did your father-in-law's criminal aspirations befall on any of his female progeny? Or did you come along and save her from herself? Tell all.
(And just so's she doesn't have to feel embarrassed, the redhead's seen the inside of a police station.)
Keep us updated on the beer salvage operation. Lotta hobos got their ears bent in your direction.

We left the coast in a 54 degree light rain. It didn't feel much like July or a holiday weekend weather-wise, but our spirits said otherwise. We were headed for my hometown (a destination that always cheers), our bags neatly packed, three bird kites on the back seat, Labatt cooler, an air conditioner, a .357 and a pool cue in the trunk. We were ready.
